What data we collect
When you sign up, we collect your full name and email address. If you share them with us, your phone number, city and location information are also processed. For organization memberships, we also collect the brand name, the brand owner, the company name, the tax office, the tax number, a phone number and an official email address. The thank-you notes you write, the ratings you give and your likes are stored linked to your account.
Technical data such as browser type, approximate location and the pages visited is processed only for aggregate statistics.
Signing in with Google
When you sign in with your Google Account, Google sends us only your name, email address and profile photo. We do not access any other Google data, such as Gmail, Drive, your contacts or your calendar.
We use this information only to create your ThankFor account and to recognize you when you sign in. Your name appears next to the thank-you notes you write; your email address is not shown publicly. Your account information is stored on the servers of our infrastructure provider, Supabase.
We do not sell the information we receive from Google or use it for advertising. Like the rest of your account information, it is shared only in the cases described in the “Who we share it with” section below.
You can delete your account and this information yourself at any time with the “Delete account” button on the My profile page, or ask for them to be deleted by writing to info@thankfor.net. You can also remove ThankFor’s access to your Google Account in the “Third-party apps & services” section of your Google Account settings.
Why we process your data
To verify that thank-you notes come from real people, to block duplicate registrations by the same person and to prevent misuse of the platform.
Your email address is used so that we can reach contest winners. We may also contact you about changes, new features and other updates on the platform.
Who we share it with
The text of the thank-you note you write and your name appear publicly on the profile of the institution concerned.
Brands and institutions may want to contact you because of your activities on ThankFor or events such as the Golden Idea Contests they organize. For this reason, under the KVKK Member Explicit Consent Statement you accept when signing up, your first and last name, phone number, email address and other contact information may be shared with organization members who want to contact you.
Your data may also be shared with our solution partners and, where necessary so that we can exercise our right of defense, with legal departments.
We do not sell your data to third parties; we do not share it for advertising purposes.

Your rights
Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), you have the right to access, correct and delete your data and to object to its processing. On your profile page, you can remove your thank-you notes one by one, and you can delete your account completely with the “Delete account” button.
You can send your requests to info@thankfor.net; you will receive a response within 30 days at the latest.
Cookies
Only essential cookies are used, to keep you logged in and to remember your theme preference. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
